Up to September 1998, Elmbridge Adult Education ran intermediate badminton classes at Heathside School in Weybridge. When they decided to stop the classes, a group of us got together and set up a club so that we could carry on playing.

In the first year we had 18 members (4 are still members) and the membership fee was set at £100.

However, Heathside School was only available during term times and not during exams so since Easter 2002 we have been playing at Fullbrook School in New Haw as they are open for 50 weeks per year.
